Getting started

Ticket Cricket turns a Discord channel into a support desk: members press a button, a private ticket channel opens, your staff claim and answer it, and a transcript is saved when it closes.

1. Add the bot

Click Add to Discord on the home page, choose your server and authorize. The bot asks only for the permissions it needs (managing channels, roles, webhooks and messages). It does not ask for Administrator.

After it joins, the bot sends you a short welcome guide by DM.

2. Tell the bot who your staff are

Run these in any channel (only server admins can):

  • /addsupport @Support – the role (or user) that answers tickets.
  • /addadmin @Bot Admin – people who may change the bot's settings. Server owners and members with the Administrator permission always count as admins.

3. Choose where tickets go

  • /setup logs #ticket-transcripts – where transcripts are posted when tickets close.
  • /setup category Support Tickets – the category new ticket channels are created in.

You can also do all of this on the Settings page of the dashboard.

4. Create a panel

A panel is the message with the Open a ticket button. Create one on the dashboard under Panels → Create Panel, or with /panel create. Pick the channel it should be posted in and give it a title. Optionally attach a form so members answer a few questions first.

The Template Gallery has ready-made panels (support desk, staff applications, order support, bug reports) you can import with one click.

5. Open a test ticket

Press the button on your panel. A channel such as #ticket-1 appears, visible only to you, the bot and your staff. Try /claim as staff, then close it with the Close button. The transcript lands in your log channel and the ticket opener receives a copy by DM.
