Custom bot (All Access)
All Access lets Ticket Cricket run as your own bot, so members see your name and avatar instead of Ticket Cricket's.
Set it up
- Go to the Discord Developer Portal and click New Application. The application name becomes your bot's name.
- Open the Bot page. Under Privileged Gateway Intents turn on Message Content Intent (needed for transcripts). Click Reset Token and copy the token.
- In the dashboard open Billing → Custom Bot and paste the token. It is checked with Discord, stored encrypted, and never shown again.
- Your bot starts within a minute. Use the Invite to a server link to add it to a server that is on your All Access subscription.
- In that server your bot answers instead of the main Ticket Cricket bot. You can remove the main bot from that server; the dashboard works through your bot.
Slash commands for a new custom bot can take up to an hour to appear in Discord the first time.
Name, avatar and status
On the Custom Bot page you can change the bot's name, avatar (an image URL) and the custom status text shown under its name. Discord allows the name and avatar to change at most twice an hour.
Good to know
- One custom bot per account. Remove it to connect a different one.
- The custom bot only works in servers on All Access. In other servers it explains that the server needs All Access.
- If your subscription ends, your servers return to Free and the main bot takes over again.
- Your token is encrypted at rest; the dashboard never displays it.
